Registration is FREE but you can also donate to Friends of Alaska National Wildlife Refuges on our team page on the Walk for the Wild website. AlaskaTeam16! has set a goal of raising $2,000. Anyone can donate so encourage your friends and family to donate too, whether or not they join the walk. Any amount is gratefully accepted and will be put to work on refuge projects. And because you are contributing through Walk for the Wild 2024, the Public Lands Alliance will match your contribution, in part, increasing the impact of your gift.
Through your donation to Friends, you are investing in conservation and the future of refuges. Wildlife and humans need these critical places to thrive. Your gift ensures we can leave this vital legacy to the next generation.
Walk for the Wild is part of America’s Wildlife Refuge initiative and is coordinated by the Public Lands Alliance. This year there are 36 Friends teams participating from 23 states, supporting over 60 national wildlife refuges. The event demonstrates our commitment to deepening human connections with nature and to protecting the thriving ecosystems we all depend on.
