Project NameDigital Walrus Counting Work From Home
Project Number460
LocationWork From Home
DatesMarch/5/2025- March/20/2025
DurationApproximately 2 weeks
Number of Volunteers NeededOne FILLED
DescriptionI am looking for someone with about two weeks of time this March who can be a second count person for walrus data. I will train the individual on how to use QGIS virtually.
Skills NeededThey need to have moderate computer skills and the ability to share their screen with me on a program like Teams in a live call so that I can train them. They will also need to be comfortable downloading QGIS onto their computer and following my steps to configure it. It’s ideal if they have a two-screen set up. I will be asking them to lay digital dots on walrus in photos. This requires good vision and a screen of decent quality. It is not the most exciting work as this is a repetitive task. I recommend bringing a good podcast or audio book to listen to while counting.
Materials NeededComputer access
