| Description | Selawik NWR is seeking volunteers interested in working with youth in rural, informal settings to offer outdoor activities and educational programs, crafts, etc after the school year ends. Would want folks who are comfortable working with youth and also comfortable operating in rural AK settings with a fair bit of unpredictability, mix of ages, etc. Travel to and from Kotzebue is not provided. However, the Refuge will provide housing in Kotzebue and during travel to outlying communities. Travel from Kotzebue to villages on the Refuge is also provided. This is a great opportunity for those interested in working with young people to experience rural Alaska.
