| Description | Dragonfly Days has been an important event for the Fairbanks refuges and the community for a decade. From 250 to 500 people attend. This year, with Allyssa Morris\'s departure from the refuge in late May and other staffing shortages, there is no one to organize it. This is too important of an event to let it go. We are looking for an event organizer. Allyssa has a good \"how to\" manual, contact lists, activities worked up, but someone has to make the calls to secure the dates with the Dragonfly expert and venue (all are the same as prior years), do publicity including posters and media, gather materials, recruit and sign up volunteers. The activities, speaker, and venue will be the same as prior years. Work could begin immediately. The actual event is a one day event. Other Friends could be recruited to help and some refuge staff may be available. Read the trip report of the 2018 Dragonfly Days here and the 2017 Dragonfly Days here. If you can\'t be the organizer but would help on that day, let us know that as well. If you are not from Fairbanks, housing may be available in the bunkhouse. |
| Skills Needed | Event planning skills including leading a team. Willingness to put in the time necessary to make this a successful event. |
| Audience Age | All ages |
