| Description | Friends volunteers will help staff a Friends Outreach table and one of two Kenai Refuge outreach stations. Inside, the refuge\'s traditional information table with a game will be co-located with the Friends Outreach table. Volunteers will split their time helping the refuge with its activity and talking to booth visitors about refuges and Friends and recruiting. Familiarity with the Kenai Refuge is very helpful for the inside info tables. Outside, volunteers will join refuge staff to help children catch a trout in the ADFG Trout Pond by tying their leaders to their fishing poles. When the successful kids catch their fish, send them home with their leader and a recipe on how to cook their fish. Weather can be changeable, so outdoor volunteers should be willing to work in wind and possibly rain, during possibly cold early-spring days.
