DescriptionArt in the Arctic showcases the beauty and wildlife of the 3 Fairbanks managed refuges - Arctic, Kanuti, and Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuges. This reception for the artists and first viewing of their works is a popular and well attended event - a \"First Friday\" event only this year on a Thursday. Two volunteers are needed to greet attendees and staff a Friends table explaining and potentially recruiting for Friends. Photographing the event is also desirable but not required. Theme this year is Fire and Ice. Learn more here. The art show will remain on display at VENUE for all of April.
Skills NeededEnjoy meeting and greeting the public and sharing information about the northern Alaska refuges and the Friends organization.
