DescriptionANCHORAGE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Fish & Wildlife Service is partnering for the 3rd year with other agencies to host the Watershed/Salmon Education project for 4th graders in a few of the Anchorage schools. We need folks to lead or assist at stations both at the School stream visit (6-volunteers) and at the Westchester Lagoon field trip (12 volunteers). Stations are velocity, macro-invertebrate, water quality. Each classroom stream visit is ~ 2.5 hours. (various dates in April) AND/OR Westchester field trips May 1-3. There will be a \\\"stream visit\\\" training on 4/4/18, at the Campbell Creek Science Center from 3p-5p to review stream stations. Although helpful, attendance is not required. A \\\"Westchester training\\\" will be on Monday, 4/30/18 from 3p -5p to do a station walk through. Meet near the playground & snack shack at the lagoon (again, attendance is helpful, but not required). Please let the contact person below know if you have any questions about this activity.
