DescriptionTHIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR A YUKON FLATS PROJECT. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A FRIENDS MEMBER OR TO APPLY AT THIS SITE. PLEASE CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY. (SEE BELOW) Yukon Flats has an opportunity for an interested person to help count duck broods this summer. Work occurs at a remote camp, and daily tasks include boating and/or walking to wetlands. Experience with duck ID is a plus, but not mandatory. More important is an enthusiastic attitude and interest in field work. Required training includes Dunker, Bear Awareness, Firearms, and General Aviation. This is an opportunity to view birds and other wildlife in a boreal wetland setting and work alongside famed Yukon Flats biologist Mark Bertram. Past participants have enjoyed the experience. If interested and available, please get back with me.
