DescriptionApplications being reviewed on May 15, 2017. NO OTHER APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED! Participate in Arctic Refuge\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s polar bear viewing management field program in Kaktovik, AK (room and board provided at Arctic Refuge bunkhouse), beginning as early as late August and into October, 2017. Position will entail assisting staff in achieving monitoring program goals, and conducting visitor outreach.
Skills NeededNecessary skills--cross-cultural communication; public speaking; coordinating youth programs, knowledge of the range of public bear viewing programs in AK and polar bear viewing programs in the world; ability to operate a motorboat in extreme ocean conditions, and experience living and working in bear habitat.
