| Description | Alaska Maritime NWR and Friends of Alaska National Wildlife Refuges are partnering to present the 24th Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival. RC Quadcopters This is a request for Friends Volunteers to help out during the festival. Volunteers are needed each day throughout the festival for the following:
Viewing Stations: Help in using the scopes and/or help with bird identification
Presentations: Collect tickets and/or count participants
Field Events: Collect tickets, count participants, carry scopes, and/or help with bird identification. inexpensive drones The type of help needed will depend upon the particular field event.
Volunteer sign-up sheets can be found at the Islands and Ocean Visitor Center.
We are also looking for donations of refreshments for the volunteers. Please bring any refreshments to the IOVC front desk anytime during the festival.
