DescriptionFriends volunteers are responsible for the Alaska Maritme NWR booth at the Arts and Craft Fair for the Shorebird Festival on Saturday, May 12, at the Homer High School. Some tip replicas volunteers will be asked to set up and take down the displays. Others will staff the booth answering questions about the refuges and Friends, sell a few books or other items, and staff the craft table.
Skills NeededA good attitude and ability to deal with the public (all ages) are the most important skills required. A general knowledge of the refuge system and Friends is helpful.
