DescriptionWe are seeking assistance in visitor services support with a volunteer or series of volunteers since we have been unable to hire a permanent Park Ranger due to failed recruitments and, more recently, the hiring freeze. This volunteer role will be centered in our visitor center, where the primary focus will be on providing exceptional visitor services. Additionally, the volunteer will offer valuable support for biology projects, assist in the efficient delivery of supplies for field projects, and contribute to our refuge outreach and educational programs.
Skills NeededOutgoing personality, knowledge of natural resources, the ability to communicate with diverse members of the public, if interested in supporting field projects - interest in waterfowl and/or fisheries. Required training: Defensive Driving, Aviation classes, IACUC training if handling wildlife
Materials NeededRefuge will provide required training, Housing, Food, Airline travel, Clothing, Equipment;
