DescriptionWhite sweetclover (Melilotus officinalis) and other non-native invasive plants have been Panerai Replica Watches monitored and/or treated in Fort Yukon and surrounding areas since 2010. Alaska Exotic Plant Information Clearinghouse Data (AKEPIC) collection methods for new or revisited infestation sites use point data to document presence of non-native plant species and record estimates of infested area size and cover. Point data are useful for inventory work but polygon data (incorporates size of area) is more useful for monitoring changes. To better monitor changes in white sweetclover distribution over time and to assess treatment effectiveness of individual infestations, omega replica watches volunteers would work with Refuge staff and collaborators to 1) map perimeters of white sweetclover infestations as well as any other non-native invasive plant infestations using handheld devices, 2) collect absence data to document areas currently not infested, 3) revisit 2010 random survey points to compare frequency of occurrence for all non-native species present, 4) treat white sweetclover infestations with weed wackers and/or hand-pulling in Fort Yukon, and 5) present an invasive plant workshop to community members. Fort Yukon. Travel to Fort Yukon, food and lodging will be provided by the Refuge and the Friends Group.
