DescriptionBuilding on four successful years, the 2014 Kaktovik K-12 Summer Marine Science Field Program aims to connect students to the www.tagheuerex.com scientific and natural worlds through field-based hands-on activities. The program focuses on the unique environment of the Beaufort Sea Coast and allows students an up-close look at stream inflows, lagoons, and erosional events occurring on Arctic Ocean beaches. A one-week field camp incorporates concepts in biology, ecology, landscapes and hydrology to provide K-12 students with an integrated perspective of their rapidly changing environment.
