DescriptionFor 17 years, the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge has co-led Amix Camps in the Pribilof Islands. The Refuge brings a high quality stewardship camp to the diverse Jaeger-LeCoultre Replica Watches children of the Bering Sea region, help them build lifelong connections to fish and wildlife resources, and appreciate how Alaska Native culture and western science are connected. The Pribilof Island communities of St. Paul and St. George are the only communities at the heart of the Bering Sea Unit of the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. Typical camp activities include subsistence hunting and fishing, cultural arts projects, subsistence foods preparation, intertidal zone exploration, outdoor safety, dance and history, certified interpretive skills, and western science classes.
Skills Needed1-2 HELPER/EDUCATOR(S)- Volunteers will work closely with refuge educations staff (Carla Stanley, and Michelle Ridgeway, camp leader) to plan and develop camp education materials and facilitate the camp.
